LucasJ218
hey bro.how can u update it from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6? I'm not sure if you can upgrade from a base ideneb install, but I installed the voodoo kernal here and proceeded to update within OS X as normal from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6. Erño
That's interesting. Did you use some tool to install it i.e. the OSX86 tool?
LucasJ218
No. From what I've been reading it appears the voodoo kernal blocks issues that prevent non-vanilla/efi installs from using the native updater. In other words, after installing voodoo kernal it all "just worked".

Dude-nl
Try this DriverAsus_P5Q_RX_Realtek_ALC_1200_SOUND.zip Also didnt work Installed the 2 .kext with kext-helper, and rebooted the pc. But still no input/output devices found in System Preferences. I have also a problem with dual booting with windows xp. I tried to enable the AHCI-mode in windows xp, but when i reboot i get a blue error screen (blue-screen-of-death-thing). Looks like the IMSM_8201001_XP.zip isnt compatible with my ICH10DO. So when I enable AHCI-mode in BIOS I can install iDeneb 1.3 but cant get into windows anymore. I tried to install windows xp with AHCI enabled in BIOS, but during install XP cant find any partitions Do you have files I need to enable AHCI after windows is installed? (for Asus P5Q-EM DO, Chipset Q45, ICH10DO) Hope you can help me with this...

Installation was simple too Next thing is to try updating OSX to 10.5.6 via apple's software update tool. Hey - I'm glad you got things up and running. Here's the issue I ran into today. After applying the update, you're probably going to run into issues with mounting .DMG files. You'll get a kernal panic and OSX will crash. This is because you're running the 9.5.0 kernal and can easily be fixed. First, download OSX86 Tools and the 9.5.0 matching KEXT. Double click the seatbelt.kext and drag it to your desktop and open up OSX86 Tools. Install the kext using that utility and follow the directions, restarting when it prompts you. This should take care of any DMG issues you run into.

IHV1010
I'd like to thank RoberT. I followed his instruction in #1 this thread, and it worked for me. I have not shut down my PC these days, and ran VMware Fusion with XPP and downloaded lots of BT files and toasted DVD. It's almost perfect, very stable. My key successful factor is "Boot with -v". I forgot to do this in the first few times with the result of just entering "Safe Mode". After using "-v", it's like dreams come true. But the VGA card is not supported, maybe due to the "Turbo Cache" which may not be recognized by OSX. I'll change a new one, maybe ATI 2600XT (any other recommend?) with better performance and supporting of Q/E, thus I can have beautiful display and DirectX 9. Thank you all guys on this forum, It's been lots of fun. P5Q-EM // 2GB DDRII800 X4 // Winfast PX6200TC TDH (NO Q/E) // Asus WL-167G v2
