emreemre
Selam Kesbi, I finally managed booting up iDeneb 1.3 on PR200 (Datron MS1221), but most of the devices aren't working. Here's the how-to: Adapted from AQuestionUnasked's walk-thru and THE0's Fix. iDeneb 1.3 installer Walk-Thru: (Adapted from AQuestionUnasked's) • Burn iDeneb iso at 1x on a DVD • Select booting from DVD (not harddrive) • When you are prompted (text menu) to press any key to boot from CD, press "space" and the OSX installer will start booting • The first choice you will have is choice of language (select which one you want) • Press "continue" at the intro screen • Press "agree" at the license screen • On the "Select a Destination" screen , click "Utilities" from the menu at the top • Select "Disk Utility" o Select your drive on the left hand side o Select the "Erase" tab o Make the Volume Format "Mac OS Extended" o Set Name to "OSX" (you can choose any name) o Press "Erase" o Press "Erase" on the confirmation pop-up o Select "diskOs1" from the right hand list (under your drive; if this already says OSX you can skip the next 3 step and go straight to closing this window) o Rename this to "OSX" (not sure this is necessary) o Select "Erase" o Press "Erase" on the confirmation pop-up (you should see the drive is now named "OSX" on the right o Press the Red close circle in the top left of the window • Select the new "OSX" drive you created from the "Select a Destination" screen • Press "Continue" • Press "Customize" (Don't press "Install" or your install won't work!) • Click on the triangle next to "Patches 10.5.5 Ready" o Check "ICHx Fixed" under "Chipset" o Check "FireWireRemove" under "Fix" o Check "PowerOff_Fix" under "Fix" o Check "GMA X3100" under "Video" (sub category "Intel") o Click "Done" • Press "Install" (the install will take about 30 mins.) o You can press "skip" to skip the DVD integrity test if you want. o The install will seem to go faster than 30 mins (from the countdown) but the last couple of minute (as defined by the GUI telling you, Time Remaining: 2 minutes) takes about 10 mins. (just let it run, don't get worried and shutdown, it will complete) • Press "Restart" (this will start a reboot, this will automatically happen in 30 seconds if you don't press it) NOW WE WILL BOOT XP/VISTA AND FIX OSX INSTALLATION (Based on THE0's fix) On reboot press "space" (any key will do), select the partition that your windows is installed and press enter. Your Windows should now boot up. Go to http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/ , download and install MacDrive7 Trial (will work for 5, days, enough:) ) Reboot Windows as described above. (In order MacDrive to function) Download _bufferheadersfix.zip, extract it to your OSX drive, which MacDrive has created. WARNING: batch file renames/deletes/copies files so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Alternatively, you can follow steps in THE0's Fix. They do the same thing (except my batch file doesn't remove Firewire kexts, because they are already removed via "Firewire Remove" "Fix" at installation). I just automated the steps described there. Run bufferheaders.bat (which will apply THE0's fix) RETURNING BACK TO OSX (continue to AQuestionUnasked's steps) • On reboot press "space" (any key will do) to get to the startup options • At the command prompt type cpus=1 -x • Enjoy! Note that these steps installs only chipset and graphics drivers. Please let me know if this works for you and if you manage to install other devices. Hope this helps. Emre SUMENGEN
Selam Kesbi, I finally managed booting up iDeneb 1.3 on PR200 (Datron MS1221), but most of the devices aren't working. Hi, Can you list what works and what doesn't? For ex. does the network (ethernet) and/or wireless work? You should be getting native 1280x800 with the Intel GMA, sound should also not be a problem, people say it could work with AppleAzalia or AppleHDA. I even think Bluetooth would be able to work, but that's just a guess of course. Anyway, can you drop us a list? (I've got the same machine, Datron MS1220 (or can be called MSI PR200, as they are identical) with T7250, 2GB ram and 160GB SATA hard-drive. I like the laptop but wonder if it's worth the try. I already have a Hackintosh on my desktop )
