metamasterplay
Thank's for the reply. Will try this as soon as I can. Hope it works, i'm a total addicted to iTunes and music. This thing is... Mac world is totally new to me, so a little help will, euh, help . I know how to install a kext file but where can i get the "MaximumBootBeep", "MuteGPIO" and "SignalProcessing" options? thank's again.
Boombeng
Well I can not give more details than Rimini gave in his original thread : 1. Make a copy of your AppleHDA.kext to your desktop or a folder. It's in /System/Library/Extensions/2. Right click on it and select "Show Package Contents". This will open a new finder window. 3. Navigate to "Contents/Plugins/" and right click on "AppleHDAPlatformDriver.kext" and select "Show Package Contents" again, opening yet another finder window (a kext within a kext). 4. In this one, right click "Contents/Info.plist" and open it, or right click and select "Open With/Property List Editor". 5. Now you navigate down the tree (keep clicking each subsequent direction triangle) until you reach "PathMapRef" and then open "0" and you'll see all the various inputs and outputs enumerated here. At this point you might want to look around at the various settings. Note that the "LineOut" has no values and that the SignalProcessing assigned to IntSpeaker includes Muting, Gain management and Equalization. DSP is also used on the mic. 6. Select each item within the "IntSpeaker" item ("MaximumBootBeep", "MuteGPIO" and "SignalProcessing") and click on the "Delete" button at the top of the Plist Editor window so that "IntSpeaker" has no entries (like "Line Out"). (In principle you really only need to get rid of "SignalProcessing" cause that's what's killing the bass, but I figured if I was using this out as a line out, then why not make it the same. Up to you.) 7. Save the plist and close plist editor and the two "Content" finder windows. 8. Now replace the original kext. I find Kext Helper 0.7 works fine for this; open Kext Helper and drag and drop your modded kext on it's window, and click on Easy Install... wait 20 seconds or so before rebooting (let the HD finish thrashing about) 9. Reboot and you're done. You need "Property List editor", you can google to download this application... Also, Mr.Krabs found that for dell Studio IDT Audio just needed to delete "SignalProcessing" and keep "MaximumBootBeep" and "MuteGPIO" so you have to try both and may be bass will be back... bagulhoz
Hi guys, I already try to config my audio on Ideneb 1.3 10.5.5, but OsX don't find and istall any device. chassler
ex. mine is 0x293e8086 your guna love this but i think u have the exact same setup as me lol try my kext with my pinconfig in it: http://rapidshare.com/files/156344109/111D...pleHDA.kext.zip I'm quoting this post because this kext works on my HP dv3510nr...almost. I originally installed this kext on an iDeneb installation 10.5.5. I used this kext out of sheer desperation as I had been attempting to make my own following the guide. To my surprise...it worked! Everything worked, including the built in mic. Fast forward a bit to an iATKOS v5i installation, vanilla everything. A successful upgrade to 10.5.6 straight from software update. I am running the 9.6 vanilla kernel. The system is running much better now and this same kext still gives me audio. However, my microphone shows no input controls in system preferences. Here's the kicker, my device id is 0x103C1505 The binary in that kext and the information in the plists all points to this poster's device id which is 111D76B2. I believe the reason the sound works is because we share the same (pin config, oicpprimary match?, I don't know what it's called) but it's 0x293e8086 That does match my system. What I don't understand is how the microphone somehow got lost in the switch from iDeneb to iATKOS. I'm very diligent about searching for my answers via google and various forums, but this one is stumping me. Any help is appreciated. I have attached two screenshots of my system. ckybam69
Hey, I successfully got this driver installed, (yay sound works!) my device id = 0x111D76B2 and I used a pre-modded kext that was posted here, but I'm getting a kernel panic on AppleHDA.kext on shutdown. I have ALCInject removed, and I've repaired the permissions with diskutil. I saw someone else on this forum repaired disk permission with OnyX to get rid of this problem, is this necessary? Is there any difference with using OnyX to fix my kext permissions, and has any1 else encountered this this kernel panic problem with these drivers on shutdown/restart. Best Arthur you can repair permissions properly by grabbing a terminal and typing this 'sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions' enter ur password then 'sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions' then 'sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions' enter these without the ' also do this any time u change a kext or touch the extensions folder I'm quoting this post because this kext works on my HP dv3510nr...almost. jjones
RaidenII: nVidia HDMI @ intel 82801ib ich9, devid 000610de is not HDA controller. It's another Audio Card play through HDMI interface. the_diller
I have this same Motherboard, and can't get the IDT sound to work either. Anyone have any idea on this setup? Yep. DP45SG with IDT 92HD73E audio, still no sound. Followed this guide, pin config guide, and tried azalia audio also. I am thinking we need to pay attention to the NODEID in the controller plist...not sure though. It seems that after editing the kexts the ports are not correctly configured as well some other issues involving the InputAmp and other internal devices. I don't really understand any of it, but I am trying to learn...several posts back someone brings it up, but I haven't been able to understand/apply this to my board. I will surely post my kext if I can figure it out, but I am sure someone smarter will beat me to it. Keep up the hard work everyone, we will get it eventually! drewkie
Hey, I would appreciate it if anyone could help me get the audio working for my HP Mini 1030NR. I installed using iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 and got everything to work except for audio. I have tried performing the hexedit but honestly do not know where to begin. My device ID = 0x103C361A and dec is 272381466. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Okay I finally figured how to follow the guide to fix the audio. I did not do the pinconfig because I no longer have windows on the system. But when I followed the steps system profiler shows the speakers and mic as internal and mic as 1/8 jack but no sound icon and nothing in system preference pane. Went back to the original kext from myhpmini.com and got sound icon but profiler shows everything as 1/8 jack with no internal speakers. Any suggestions????? Thanks. Dylan Manthei Yeah I'm using the DP45SG as well. Tried this guide, as well as the pin config, no cigar. Took me forever, but I tried to be accurate to make sure I got all the steps right. It doesn't seem like anyone with that IDT audio has got it working. On a side note, I don't have USB working either (except the keyboard mouse if they're plugged in from before). Which distro and/or kext did you use for USB on this board?
