lezard
Hi guys, I'm trying to install Kalyway 10.5.2 on a P5Q Pro ( latest bios 1306 ), but with no success. ( P5Q PRO, E8600, SATA drives, expect DVD IDE ). I have a Kernel panic after nfs_boot_init failed ... disk1s2 ... do not know what it means ( my DVD is disk0s1 ). Any idea, suggestion, knowing that I tried every possible tip ( options -x/cpus=1/..., and bios configurations ) mentioned in this forum? Sipheren
Follow this for sound. Cheers with plist editor, open /System/Library/Extensions/ALCInject.Kext/Contents/Info.plist He added the string "<string>pci8086,3a3e</ string>" as shown in the picture Closes plist editor and save it when you ask. Now open with plist editor /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAController.kext/Contents/Info.plist And in "IOPCIPrimaryMatch" adds your audio device as shown in the picture "0x3a3e808" Closes plist editor and save it when you ask. If you want to go disk utility and repair permissions, but you do not have. reboot and check, Already, and you did not work? the truth is that it also was tested AppleHDAPatcher and codec 0888, if you're not working this may have to do Do not I can confirm right now. MiahX
New instructions to update from 10.5.2 directly to 10.5.5 have been added to the guide! Here are the old instructions for updating from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 (for archiving purposes): 7. How to update to 10.5.3: Download here: http://insanelymac.blogspot.com/2008/08/ho...52-to-1053.html The instructions are correct, but to clarify: 1. Install the Comboupdate, but DON'T CLICK RESTART AT THE END! 2. Install kalyway kernel pkg (2nd file) 3. IMPORTANT: Reboot and at boot press F8 key and type "update -v" then hit enter. It will reboot again, then let it boot like normal. How to update from 10.5.3 to 10.5.4(must update to .3 first): Simply download and install the Delta update (88mb), not the Combo update: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1054update.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/124693-1055-osx86-tutorial-from-a-mac-n00b-p45s-like-p5q-pro/page/2/#findComment-912348 Share on other sites

I put only one kext at installation iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 for IntelAMD ( SSE2 SSE3) it last in section "NVidia". My Mac after install: The network does not work for me (see next post) (02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Attansic Technology Corp. L1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter [1969:1026] (rev b0)). Speak while there is no driver. Whether the truth it? And I yet did not adjust sound ALC1200 (see next post) (00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801JI (ICH10 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:3a3e]) If someone prompts as it correctly to make, I will be grateful. Also DENEB 10.5.5 perfectly works in VMware Workstation 6.5.118166. (There the network is at once). Also it is possible to mount in a mode read-write any section of a hard disk (including NTFS by means of the program paragon-ntfsmac65: paragon_ntfsmac65.part1.rarparagon_ntfsmac65.part2.rarparagon_ntfsmac65.part3.rar) I have more recently put to myself MAC, but I wish to instal on P5Q PRO Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 9E25 Retail.dmg (7.01 Gb) if who that has councils on this theme, I will be very grateful. I don't know what is RAID and AHCI and how to enable/disable it. This article on wikipedia says, "Enabling AHCI in a system BIOS on installations of Windows XP or Windows Vista will cause SATA Optical drives to disappear. A Hotfix for Windows Vista is available under the title: "SATA optical drives are not available after you start a Windows Vista-based computer". This problem was fixed in Vista SP1". So shall I install Vista SP1 only? Can you people help me with this? 3) ***I have to have sata DVD drive? Currently I've IDE. Will it work or I have to change?? Belgian Newbie
Hi People, Last few days I spent a lot on this forum trying to find the best way to get OSx86 on my PC. My configuration: MB: Asus P5Q ( with modified bios 1306) CPU: Intel Q9300 Ati 3650 graphics 2GB Ram Sata DVD Sata HD Both Sata on ICH10R Bios setting: AHCI is ok for Sata,Disabled Speedstep, C1E, TM Function etc. and enable 'Execute Disable' I followed the install instructions from MiahX. Everything went fine during install. I deleted the original partition (via the disk utility, and formatted the new (HFS+). Installation went fine, but once after the installation, when the PC restarts, the screen gives some errors (disk write protected etc. - don't know if this is ok or not) and after a few seconds the PC really reboots. After passing the bios, it goes wrong. The only screen I see tells following error code: Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 2047 MB memory vesa v3.0 16MB (ATI Amibios) EBIOS read error: Device Timeout Block 1 sectors 64 After a while I get the option to select the startup volume. Here comes only the option hd(128,0) ethernet PXE Client I also have the possibility to type -v The respons is "system config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' no found Can somebody helps me here? (mobo- P5Q pro) No you dont have to uninstall your OS, in fact you use the BIOS flash app inside Windows to Flash the BIOS. This modded BIOS makes no difference to Windows. Yes you can dual boot Vista-Leopard, you can even triple boot Linux-OSX-Windows if you want.
