Hi!

Got problem with Logic 8 pro (version 8.0.2)

Experiencing very high noise when playing/recording...

Seems to be some kind of Core audio problem, but i really don't know... I'm not having any problems with Reason 4, Itunes, VLC or any other music app.

I'm using a Lexicon Lambda USB soundcard, and it works fine with Reason in the hackintosh, and with Cubase 4 and Reason in Windows...

Tried to google on it, and it seems like the card doesn't have any issues with logic 8.

Can't really use logic for anything..

Please help!

Working in other audio apps but not in logic..... first thing I would check is preferences>audio> Buffer size

Raise the number in that box (default is probably 256 or 512 samples).

That would explain the audio sounding like it is tearing or zipping during recording and playback.

Could you describe the noise... does it sound like amplified room noise?... static?

I've tried to increase the buffer size... I think i use like 128 samples in Cubase/windows...

Hm, if it's amplified room noise? No, not really, hard to explain, since it occours when i record software instruments too..

Could record some of the noise and attach it to a post here!

Will do it when i get some spare time.

Thanks for the answer!
