kmikase
Hi, I've installed Kalyway 10.5.4 on my laptop M50Sv. Almost everything is working well except wifi (intel chipset ) and the esata. I don't really understand what composed a Esata controller. My internal hard drive works with no problem and it is in Sata. I think the controller i need to install is JMicron 20360/20363 AHCI Controller. Does anyone has it working and knows how to make it working? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122087-esata-jmicron-2036020363-ahci-controller/ Share on other sites

SergejKiller
This driver should work. It had an Original Leopard installed on IDE HDD on JMicron controller. JMicronATA.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122087-esata-jmicron-2036020363-ahci-controller/#findComment-899745 Share on other sites

Guest
The problem, in my opinion, isn't JMicronATA.kext but IOATAFamily.kext. I copied this kext from an installation of Leo4All V2 and eSata channel works (eSata is the third device of the IDE controller and functionally is a PATA device). I apologize for my bad English. nerone
recently i've discovered a weird behavior of my asus laptop's esata port. it detects the connected drive only after wake from sleep. hotplug works as is w/o any modifications. well, i'm a bit confused and haven't any ideas where the problem could be. maybe someone had a similar problem? how to make esata always detect my hdd, not only after sleep/wake? UPDATE: found the exact solution right here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=186558 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122087-esata-jmicron-2036020363-ahci-controller/#findComment-1309387 Share on other sites
