kalarm
Hello, I recently installed Kalyway mac OS X 5.1 on my IDE HDD. The system itself works, but I get many errors. First of all, booting the HDD with Mac OS X gives a "B0 error", that is if the DVD is not in the drive, if the DVD is in the drive, there is a countdown asking me if I want to boot from DVD or not, I touch NOTHING and the system boots. Now, that was with a tutorial. It don't seem to work so well, so I would like to have some more customized help. Here is my Spec Processor: Intel Q6600 Mobo: Intel D975XBX2KR: Intel 975X express chipset Asus Geforce 8800 GTS 640mb Pioneer DVD-212D Dual layer DVD+RW/-RW I do not have a soundcard and ethernet cards as they are inside the MOBO, that means sigmatel high definition audio codec (for soundcard of course) and Intel pro/1000PL (ethernet card). I mention all those because 1: I have no sound even after installing some sound driver packs, last time I went on mac, my internet stopped working and for the DVD drive, if I eject a CD it sometimes ask me what I want to do with it, then says it's incompatible and I can't do a thing with it afterward. MY MAIN ISSUE IS THE FOLLOWING Before working into drivers and all, I just want to have a system to which I can boot when I want and painlessly. As mentionned earlier, I need to have the DVD in the drive for the system to boot (or b0 error comes up). I also need to switch the BIOS booting order everytime. So I would like to know the easiest way to boot what I want to boot AND how to remove the b0 error). I have EasyBCD installed but I don't know how to make it work for mac OS. Says I need to put a file somewhere but, as mentionned earlier my mac OS is installed on a seperated IDE HDD that is formated for mac. Please, I really need mac OS for educational use and need to know how to install it the right way. If you think 5.1 is not the best for my spec, please tell me but as mentionned, what bothers me most is the booting and sound/DVD support.
