OriginalMACNUT Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 How To keep from Losing your Internet connection with Via II. 1. Open System Preferences. 2. Click the Network Icon. 3. Click on Advanced Tab. 4. Click on Ethernet Tab. 5 Change Configure to Manually 6 Set speed at 100baseTX 7. Change Duplex to full-duplex 8. For Cable modems, leave the MTU at 1500, If you have DSL, change the MTU to 1490. 9. Click okay 10. Click Apply 11. Now change you DNS Server to 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 12. Change the Search Domain to opendns.com 13. Now Restart your OSX system, now you should stay connected. If you have a router, you must apply 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 in the DNS setting, or this will not solve your connection lose.
