Mac_Psi
Hi, I am installing Leopard on my pc from "leopard-x86-flat-img" file I downloaded from other resources. I am following these steps for installation: 1- Extract the leopard-x86.rar. 2- you will have a flat img file its NOT ISO fle. 3- Move this file into the folder "write leopard-x86-flat-img to disk0" if you want to instal leopard on your master 1st hard drive, or "write leopard-x86-flat-img to disk1" if you want to install leopard on the second hard drive if you have two hard drives...etc. 4- Put any files containing the litters "dd" in the same folder that you have moved the image into..its should be "write leopard-x86-flat-img to disk0". 5- Excute/Open the file dd-list first then open the fle write leopard-x86-flat-img to disk0.bat 6- It should counts to approx. 18,XXX,XXX,XXX 7- After that your PC should reboot automaticly, if it didn't just rebootit manually no-prblems. 8- your PC will boot automaticly to Leopard setup screen, Got every step done. I had to reboot it manually and changed the boot device to select my disk1 from bios screen. As soon I boot into my Disk1 I get a Grey sceen with spinnny cirlcle on bottom after a while I see a small box in the middle of the apple with an X on it. I sit for an hour rebooted twice i think it froze there. I am installing it on a Core 2 Duo processor, 160 GB Sata HDD, 4 GB Ram any ideas why I am getting this image with X on it on the top of apple screen? I also have a IDE 80GB HDD where my XP is installed. Please suggest what I am doing wrong and how can I get rid of this problem!! Mac_Psi
I have HP Compaq DX 7380 MT with : . Intel Q965/ICH8 chipset · Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 3000 · Total 4 PCI slots (2*PCI slot,1 PCIe x1, 1PCIe x 16) · Integrated SATA II controllers with 6 SATA ports (2 SATA ports can be configured as RAID) , 1 PATA PORT. · Integrated Broadcom 10/100/1000 Network Connection with WOL. · Integrated 8 channel HD Audio. · Choice of hard drives and optical drives · HP Bizcover Diagnostics and Recovery Manager. · Desktop management tool. · Single or dual channel DDRII SDRAM system memory DDR667/DDR 800. okay, I guess I managed to enable "AHCI" mode on my board. It actually bypasses the previous message i.e. "ApplePS2Controller: Timed out on keyboard input stream". After this message it says, "From Path: "UUID" Then it says "Waiting for boot volume with UUID and some loooong numeric value. Then it says waiting on <dict ID ="0"> IOProviderClass </key> and something like that and then again it says: "Still waiting for root device" STUCKED AGAIN!!!! riws
I still belive that the problem I am facing can be fixed easily! Please guys help me out! It doesn't detect your HDD Controller, so it cant boot up. I guess you need to add your ICH ID into Driver, but you need to fix Permissions for this Driver, but you don't have a working OSX to do it. Now can you please suggest from where I can get a "real" OS X 10.5.3 or OS X 10.5.4 installer that works with my machine's configuration. This time I want the DVD ISO. Take then newest, 10.5.4 then. Search in Google: iDeneb 10.5.4 torrent or iAtkos 10.5.4 torrent Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120662-leopard-installation-leopard-x86-flat-img/#findComment-855052 Share on other sites
