Daft_Punk
Here is a post for all my fellow Asus P5K-E/Asus P5K-E WiFi/AP owners. (Request this gets stickied ) OK, I now have all of the drivers in one zip folder. This DOES include the wifi edition of the P5K-E, it is not detected as an Apple Airport card, instead you must use the Realtek App (Included in the zip file I made). Enjoy my fellow Asus P5K-E users! Rejoice! Btw, I also included the Apple SMBIOS (I believe its the Mac Pro one) Mediafire link: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=768536e...2db6fb9a8902bda Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120585-a-complete-collection-of-drivers-for-the-asus-p5k-easus-p5k-e-wifiap/ Share on other sites

Ampidire
With all of these drivers installed I still do not have ethernet, and not even modifying the info.plist in the IONetworkingFamily.kext fixes this, also, all of my HD's show up with external drive icons, do you have these issues? Ampidire
After some toying I have my drives showing up as normal, but I still don't have ethernet, it's the only thing that isn't working for me, and is ridiculous, as I'm relying on a wifi hack with the onboard wifi to use internet on my desktop in os x right now, and it's dropping the connection like a baby learning to walk. Ampidire
I re-installed a used an IONetworkingFamily.kext from somewhere else on the boards that had info about the 88E8056 and now everything is working perfectly! I do wonder how crucial it is that I change the DevID of my 8800GT to 0x600 to have it report totally as an 8800GT instead of just an nVidia card with QE/CI and 512MB of VRAM. http://db.xbench.com/merge.xhtml?doc1=3060...;setCookie=true There's my xbench for today, with my processor at 2.4GHz, it's summer here so I don't overclock cause my room gets too hot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120585-a-complete-collection-of-drivers-for-the-asus-p5k-easus-p5k-e-wifiap/#findComment-858046 Share on other sites
Daft_Punk
Glad to hear everything is in the worx for u now Ampidire, u may want to change the dev id of ur 8800GT if u want better (or full) performance. I'm thinking of buying the 8800GT Mac Edition to eliminate problems with my future OSx86 install. > Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120585-a-complete-collection-of-drivers-for-the-asus-p5k-easus-p5k-e-wifiap/#findComment-858131 Share on other sites
Ampidire
i'm pretty sure i can change the id with just flashing it using nvflash after editing the bios in windows correct? i've flashed mine for higher speeds but not changed the ID, my machine feels just like a real Mac with the aluminum apple keyboard i'm using with it i sync'd all my data over mobile me and copied all my usual apps from my MacBook, it's great having a desktop Mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120585-a-complete-collection-of-drivers-for-the-asus-p5k-easus-p5k-e-wifiap/#findComment-858965 Share on other sites
