pHrail
I have some progress...disappointing, but progress Motherboard Asus P5B Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 4GB Ram XFX Geforce 8600 GT 1GB Make sure you enable northbridge memory remapping in bios for over 3gb. Make sure sata is set to AHCI NOT IDE on the drive Use the Configure option during setup Used vanilla kernel Geforce works using NVinject 1gb BUT display turns black, I figured out what this was. These will NOT handle a DVI input. Works on VGA/RGB only but display now does work with 1gb card and screen resolutions change fine. Sound - Says there are drivers working for ADI1988, DOES NOT WORK. The only thing that works is the HD output sound using Azalia drivers. Not sure if there is a fix for the sound problem, but I do have some sound out. Ethernet works on boot, RTL8111 Seems to be running though so far, after 10 hours of playing.
joeventura
Trying to get this working on aThinkpad X40 Takes 20 mins to go from the lanaguage selection screen to the utilities, each screen change takes FOREVER Having same problem with Kalyway disk. ototo
sepulchre 1. Run single user mode using the -s flag while booting 2. Mount the file system as mentioned when you boot 3. Change the root password using the command "passwd root" 4. Touch (create) the .AppleSetupDone file by typing "touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" Thank You. I had the same problem. worked great. batman222
Had a good install, but it took a few attempts to work. The main issue was the infinite loop [nice one Steve]. I discovered that I had been loading the wrong driver for my NIC, which was an RTL8111, rather than an 8189. That cleared the issue there. The only other thing I had difficulties with was that the drive showed up as the orange external type on the desktop. I'm also wondering about the integrity of a lot of the DVD burns- this is a precarious burn at best, as it takes up nearly all of the data space of a single layer disc. Maybe that's where a lot of issues are occurring? pHrail
I'm having some sort of permissions problems opening apps from user desktop also opening apps from DVD Rom... Not sure what is going on here, but something is buggy. Tried installing warcraft from retail dvdrom and it wont open, same ones i use on my real mac book, kinda strange. Downloaded another installer file to the desktop and tried to open it and it gave perms errors. Works out of Documents folder though. All the perms look ok though for the user, is in admin and has read+write, kinda odd. I used Mac Extended Journaling? I'm wondering if i should of used the non journaling when formatting...anyone else having issues?
darrelld
You have tried to select the ICHx Fix? Cris900 - Can I assume that the ICHx Fix selection is available after the install DVD has booted? If so, I can't even get to that point because the install DVD itself hangs while loading/booting, not the installation process. So, I don't even know what the iDeneb install process looks like. Thanks for your reply and assistance.

gord0001a
I've tried this and whilst the install went fine I've run into a problem during the set-up stage - - Select your keyboard - OK - Do You already own a Mac? - Select - Do Not transfer my info now, click continue. This seems to hang for a while then I get the intro again and the loop repeats Any ideas? Asus P5k-e Wifi Intel Quad Q6600 @ 3.5Ghz 4Gb OCZ Nvidia 8800GT Samsung SATA DVD-RW Samsung 1Tb F1 Samsung 500Gb Mine has the same problem. Gigabyte P35-DS3L. The iDeneb installer doesn't have the option for including Realtekr1000.kext in IONetworkingFamily.kext. I just grabbed IONetworkingFamily.kext from a working Kaly install. Did the standard fixing of permissions/touch/etc. Rebooted and it works fine.
XLR
I just installed it on a P5K-E (not Wifi) from SATA DVD to SATA hard drive, and the installation went smooth without any problems. Seems like everything works fine and i even managed to shutdown the computer lol. I selected the latest Vanilla kernel during installation. darrelld
Sorry I had not realized that not starting the installation. Can you start with -v and tell me the error? Thanks I wrote the only thing I ever get and have booted with -v anytime I've entered different options to get past the message I get, which is: "IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 0:23" No error... just hangs forever on the message above after the boot instruction that precede that message in the boot process. gurukool
Hi,I selected the follo.. - AMD patch -VIA-SB - 9.4.0 MODBIN (AMD SSE3) - Apple BC440X - Wireless- Broadcom - Applications. I generally use Taruga's patch for my 9200 and Callisto v3 for resolution change. i am not able to test the wireless since the install won't let me go beyond the keyboard not found issue after reboot...but i am assuming the card was not detected since i see the wireless icon when installing leo4allv3 which i didn't see this time. But it can tested later...i now need to go beyond the keyboard issue... any help is appreciated.... TIA, Hi, I have tried couple of more installs with diff selections but it still did not detect my keyboard...any ideas???

twilight.lee
Install OK When re-install and select Kernel 9.2.0 Sleep (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3) My CPU only support SSE2 , so It seemed 9.4.0 Modbin (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3) Can NOT used on AMD SSE2 CPU. Sound Card works well (2 channel , no input) Network Card works well. Graphic Card (Geforce6600 PCIE 128MB) works well , support CI/QE. (Use NVKush) Thanks , Punk92! Apple Pirate
Does anyone know if Nvidia Geforce 7300 GT 512 MB will work good in this? I dont want to have to manually set it up & Does it have a option to NOT use EFI bootloaders and doesnt have EFI on the DVD when you boot it? i run into those and i get mad because I have a older computer that doesnt support that. hello&goodbye
Had a good install, i finished it in ten minuts. Great job!!!! But, i fopud two problems after instllation. The first one (same problem with Kalyway) was that the drive showed up as the orange external type on the desktop. I fixed it with "For hard drive fix kexts". The other thing (same problem with iATKOS) was language Translation, finder isn't enough to show up Japanese languages. I reinstalled japanese.pkg from KalywayDVD. Those are both OK. Boot time, faster than Kalyway, so cool !!! Including SiliconImage is so nice, than iATKOS!! It's the very thing that I've been looking for!!! I am looking forward next release.
