Guest cavallo
It is not correct to ask first, first try as i have done a lot of times. There are missing files, corrupted archives and many more anywhere in this planet also in original ones. please undrestand that a distribution cannot be tested previously on every system. This is the first 10.5.4 that goes on everyone of mines. first, as my experience follow please those simple steps 1) enter bios and verify that apic or acpi is enabled; 2) if you have in it verify if s3 mode of acpi / apic is enebled; 3) disable any graphic, ram and cpu over or downclock; 4) disable usb legacy and/or usb mouse and keyboard support: 5) mps table must be 1.1 not 1.4 (if you have it) 6) disable firewire serial i.r and parallel port on board, to do that the best is to load optimized ones and then modify. For amd owners the best is, once in installation customizings select 9.2.0 kernel, all fixes as 667 sm biosm, acpi fix, remove firewire, usb fix, cpus =1 and ps key and mouse fix. Then your drivers, please use motherboard manual to know everything about chipset, audio, lan, wireless and if if you have have it video on board. Select your graphic device. to do it fasted don't select applications, tou can istall them with pacifist later. On my Toshiba (intel) i did not modified nothing in bios. i selected all fixes and as it is above. don't pretend with any distribution to installing it successful on first time. Cauldronborn
What are the differences with the sleep kernal and the rest? I installed the vanilla one which seemed the most recent (might be mistaken here) but of course I have problems with sleep/shutdown.
aneks
Hi, I've downloaded and tried to install this version but as soon as i boot it it comes up with a box and says i have to restart my system in like 3-4 different languages and when i do the same thing happens. germi
I installed iDeneb on my PC. It works very well. Thanks for the great release. The only Problem i have is my ethernetconnection. My onboard-ethernet does'nt work. It's the same as my kalywayinstallation. With my Realtek-ethernetcard i get connection. But it breaks down after 20 minutes or so. The Realtek works under kalyway very well. I have taken a lot of options at the installation. With and without ethenet-kext's. I installed the Realtek R1000 Kext and many options more. The result is always the same. Has anyone an idea how i get my ethernet work?

gnuga
Sorry for bringing an old thread to the front page, and yes i'm still using ideneb v1 10.5.4 coz downloading v1.3 10.5.5 would overkill my bandwith (i need to wait next month to do that) Then again, i see no major harm to my hardware if i'm using v1 10.5.4 my specs : Biostar tp43d2-a7 (P43 , ICH10) e2160 @ 3.1GHz 2 GB ram 2x1gb AData Vitesta 800 250GB IDE seagate 320GB SATA2 WDC 1x DVDrom Pioneer 9600GSO install went smooth, using either SATA / IDE harddrive. but the problem came when rebooting after finish install the system: MAC Framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers hmm... i've tried disabling AHCI , installing only from IDE , trying each kernel available, including vanila, ICHx and Jmicron fix, but it still there .. if anyone familiar with such error and found a fix pls pot the result here... thnx! asimovrobot
Justin wanted to drop a note to say that iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 worked well with Asus a8nsli mobo. Onboard LAN was the only thing missing. Found this thread http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=125569 using the latest version (0.62.7) I simply ran OSX86Tools - Install Kexts - select 0.62.7 kext(i burned it to cd using a different computer) - restart and voila!! Beautiful. So I currently have OSX running on a SATA drive, installed from a SATA dvd burner with an old Nvidia 7600GT(QE and CI both seem to be running). On board AC850 audio working also. This was much easier than a previous install of JAS(sorry dont remember the version) LAN worked with that one straight away but getting QE/CI to work was quite the excercise. Anyways, thanks much

HUGE THANKS goes to q64ceo for helping me out every step ThankS! Hi, Gnuga, I have the same mobo, I tried several times with different kernel options, booting with different flags, but kept stuck at the gray apple screen, at one time I saw the turning wheel, but it never got beyond that. Guest prairiedogg
Thanks Punk92!, I'll try this release:) I've had problems with the ide microdrive (asus p5k-se) and it kept saying 'waiting for root device' while I had connected 1IDE HDD, one sata HDD and a usb HDD so I hope this will work. On my other pc iatkos v4i starts to install but just stops at +- 85%. Could someone send me an demonoid invite or post it to usenet? I don't have an account there yet. Tim Leferink I've had same problem, my motherboard is the same as yours. Iatkos 5i gets to 30%. and IDeneb says the same as your pc. Did you get a solution to this?
