Joseph Ferano
this is a good question. It is red for me too, I read somewhere though that you had to remove it for some networking features to work... I did. I dont use wireless so I guess itll be alright.

Joseph Ferano
Right Click, change the "label colour" SticMAN I already did that... XD I understood the labeling part, its just that its curious to see that the Kalyway package would include that kext with a red label. Any thoughts on this? SticMAC™
Its the way some compilers mark important stuff! I mark the kexts I need to replace with green, this way I can check quikly if the three kexts I replace after a retail install are there without having to look for them, ie, I just scroll fast and see if i can see three green lines! I presume the Distro Compiler would mark such a file, as to indicate that a specific file can or must be removed if it causes an error OR that it is very important and should not be removed at all cost! Looking at the file, IO80211Family.kext is a network based kext so it could cause hanging or it might need to be modified to get Wireless working so that could be why it is marked!
