Synthology
Greetings, I recently did a Boot132 method install from retail, successfully I might add. However, I installed the latest chameleon and now my laptop does not sleep. I think it might be related to the EFI, as it used to sleep and wake perfectly with Netkas EFIV8. Just for kicks I want to install EFIV8 again, instead of Chameleon. Please let me know what is the best method to remove Chameleon and install EFIV8. Thanks in advance Prof. Synthology Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115959-installing-efi-v8-over-chameleon-efi/ Share on other sites

Synthology
I forgot to mention that I already tried OSXTools and it did not install over Chameleon. Perhaps I did something wrong. Is there a way to install EFIV8 and Uninstall Chameleon with OSxTools? Please advise on this. Synthology
Problem solved. It seems Chameleon EFI has a few problems with AppleEFIRuntime.kext. Trashed that, and used OSx86Tools to repair extensions permissions and touch the extensions folder. Rebooted and now my lappy wakes from sleep. Bottom line, if you got a VAIO laptop with Chameleon EFI and X3100, throw out AppleEFIRuntime. It would be most recommended. Cheers.
