MACFREK
Hi all, my onboard nforce LAN was not working. after many searches i gave up. bought one PCI ethernet card. Brand name is "Intex" i was really happy to see the chipset which is "RTL8139D" which is known to work out of box in leopard. But in my case...my bad luck continues.... it is not working for me.... i found its not a real RTL8139D chip. so its not working. Please help... this mac really driving me crazy .. bought card also. my final hope is to make this work. The regular RTL8139D ID is 1904:8139 But mine is 1904:2031 its working fine in vista. Please Please suggest me ways to work. Please Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114469-pci-ethernet-card-rtl8139d/ Share on other sites

rhyguy
the intex brand are fake ones i dont think they work in osx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114469-pci-ethernet-card-rtl8139d/#findComment-812794 Share on other sites
Krazubu
Rhyguy is right, this has already been seen for others models, they put fake references to scramble the tracks, your actual chip is a SC92031, totally not supported, official datasheet here Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114469-pci-ethernet-card-rtl8139d/#findComment-812966 Share on other sites
