Netkas told me to set my Graphics to PEG2, I cannot find where that is in my bios. Does the 2nd GPU have to be in 2nd PCI slot or can i leave it in 3rd?

then its peg3, not peg2, inital graphics port option

Some bioses have Initalize Graphics option it can be internal or pcie1/peg1 and pcie2/peg2 ie peg1 is first pci-e 16 port and peg2 is the second

Try plugging your display in to your other output.

I'm not sure if that suggestion was directed at me, but that worked for the resolution changing issue. Also fixed a problem that I didn't noticed until today where I couldn't adjust the color (was too washed out).

I think the reboot problem went away on its own. Don't know what fixed it since I didn't do anything except install steermouse and rebooted.

Please post your EFI string, maybe it'll work for others too. If it's possible to post the plist for creating it that would be great too. Thanks

Thanks to netkas for the heads up!

Original title: Is GeForce GTX 260/280 support possible?

Original post: I was looking at picking up a new card soon. Before the card came out, I read it was based on G92. I don't know if that was a rumor or not. Does anyone have one, or know what it's based on?

Hi, any new updates on the GTX 295 card with QE support?

Regarding EFI Strings and multiple monitor support,

Following aquamac's guide worked to perfection, though I did make a stupid user error mistake that had me deleting the com.apple.Boot.plist changes in single user mode and trying again. These were the values that worked for me for both the in.plist and out.hex. Sorry for the exceedingly long post, if there is a better way to put it up then someone let me know and I'll edit it. Also take note that I don't take credit for any of this, all I did was follow aquamacs great instructions.

For XFX GTX 280

Thanks for the plist and hex asfastas63. Unfortunately it didn't work for me, even after I changed the PCIRoot part to match what gfxutil gives me. Same result as when I tried doing my own plist. Maybe because my card doesn't seem to be the standard design (it's a Gainward GTX260 Golden Sample model with a different PCB and heatsink to other GTX260s I've seen) it doesn't want to budge.

In any case, I went to netkas.org and downloaded his updated ATY_Init enabler and now both my displays work just fine! Both work with QE/CI too. So thanks again to netkas for his great work!

Sorry, but can someone make a step by step guide of how to get this to work with a GTX285 - I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from my EVGA 9800GTX+ to an EVGA GTX285, I saw the GTX285 mac edition gpu but it's hella expensive and I'm ever interested on a non-mac edition card for alot cheaper, will a PC edition card work with this or does it have to be a mac edition card? If I do end up getting a 285 what would be the required steps on getting it to work? Will the drivers that EGOvoruhk posted (thanks btw) work seamlessly? My specs are in my sig and I'm using DIGITAL_DREAMER'S retail core i7 installment of OSX 10.5.7 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=149505

thanks in advance for any help

You can use a windows card(cheaper by a mile(GTX260 for about 120ish) look at netkas.org for the drivers you need. As for the guide it's also on his website.

kernel ATY_Init: The 5e2 card already has keys set

where are this keys already set?
