After installing iDeneb(1.6) 10.5.8, I have gotten all my components working except my Nvidia GTX 260 (0x10DE05E2). I installed the GT200 drivers included on the disc. I have actually been trying to get Mac to work on my PC for about a year or two now as an on and off project, so I would appreciate if someone could help.

 

After Chameleon bootloader and the actual Leopard boots, my screen shuts off. I heard the Max OS X Leopard introduction video playing in the background, but no video because my screen was off. If anyone has a clue as to how I could go about fixing this, I would be grateful.

Hi guys, I just replaced my radeon 4550 with a BFG Geforce GTS 250. I am installing ideneb v4 10.5.6 on my

amd phenom ii 955

asus m4a79xtd evo mobo

 

I did having a working system with the 4550 but decided to do a fresh install with the new card. I chose all the same things during the install, except I chose NVinject and NVkush (on separate occasions), both of which resulted in a kernel panic. The white apple screen begins to load for about 20 seconds, then the grey kernel panic screen appears.

 

I have no clue what is going on, i would try other distros but currently ideneb 10.5.6 is the only thing i can get to boot (everything else restarts my computer after a flash of the apple screen before I have even installed anything...)

 

If anyone has any idea on how to help me or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey

I can see my gtx260 in my systemprofiler. But on most games the screen goes glack (monitor is still turn on, green light) i hear sound but cant see a damn thing.

 

I can also dont change my resolution(blue screen stays)

It also failes on open gl 3.0(1.1-2.1 passed) on opengl viewer

I installed iDeneb 1.6 (Leo 10.5.8) and everything works perfect except of my GeForce GTS 250, and the symptoms are like described in quoted message from @Motawa.

 

Did anyone manage to fix this? I have my native resolution ( 1680x1050 ) and my graphic card is recognized by OS X but whenever i try to play some game i get the black screen, and the same goes for VLC player for example (i don't see the video, only black surface).

 

Any help is welcome because this is the only thing that separates me from my perfect hackintosh .

OK guys forget about my problem i solved it .

 

The solution was so simple and so close all this time but i never remembered of it 'till today .

 

I just reconnected my monitor from VGA out on my graphic card to DVI with DVI2VGA adapter and everything just started working . Now i can change my resolution normally, and no more black screen in games/videos . I hope this will help to some of you having the same issues like i did and that you'll get your perfect hackintosh as well .

Hey I have a question?!

 

I currently have a 9800GT, on 64-bit 10.6.2 and it works perfectly!

 

If I buy a GTX 200 series card, will it work on 64-bit kernel? and Can I get my old 9800gt to work with it, I really want to get them both to work so I can use the 9800GT for a PhyX card on windows, but still have the two cards working on snow leopard, So I can have lots of graphics Processing resources, when virtualizing windows via parrallels/wmware

 

I really want to know soon, because if there is absolutely no way to get it to work I will sell my 9800gt, but I don't want to if I don't have to

Drivers are NOT in the first post of the topic because there is nothing on netkas website since the IRC channel he is talking about is a hoax at least.

 

If someone has the drivers, let him post it or direct where can we download.

The link on netkas website to IRC channel is bad, no doubt but there is another IRC channel mentioned in another topic. So there it is.

 

For this combo you need nvidia drivers + netkas enabler.

I searched and didn't find any success stories, but I thought I would give it a go anyway. I got the EVGA Geforce 210 512MB. It won't work with GraphicsEnabler in PC_EFI 10.5 or Chameleon 2 RC4, but it does work without it. Then it needs NVCAP injection, so I did a custom EFI string with the right NVCAP, and I was set. Looks like everything works.

Alright, So I just installed snow and everything went fine, but I can't get QE/CI I've tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes or y or yes but no luck. Anyone out there have success with this card or know how I could go about doing this?

So i was going to perform the install with a 9800gt i have, but i wanted to make sure that i will be able to run my 2x GTX 275's. I currently run 4 monitors.

 

1) does netkas or other kext provide multiGPU support (Dont care about SLI)

2) Multimonitor support?

From what I understand, the 275 (which I have) is not fully supported even using a single card. I'm not getting the full power out of the card. Not sure on the multi-monitor.

I have installed it successfully but there was a problem.

 

The install wouldnt want to start because he could not find the hardware. So. I opened the package and than went for manuall install.

 

Now I can use color profiles!

Hey Manhu I have Big gt220 (1gb ddr2) card same like yours.

 

1. Delete all the geforce kexts, nvdia kexts, ati*.* and extensions.mkext

2. reboot

3. install netkas enabler

4. reboot

5. install nvidia retail mac installer drivers.

6. reboot

all settings enabled. (only mouse is not smooth)

This card doesn't work with GraphicsEnabler, and NVEnabler breaks dual monitors. After many hours testing different combinations, this EFI string enables QE/CI and dual monitors:

For those that care, the correct base64 NVCAP for this card is BAAAAAAAAQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=

Dumping the card's ROM and using NVCAP maker on it will give the wrong result.

I am on Hazard 10.6.2 with NVEnabler+NVInject (I believe 0.2.2). In the safe mode PNY G210 worked out of the box, but booting normally gave me black screen. I read on the forum to disable graphics enabler and do EFI string and that should fix black screen on normal boot, but it didn't work out for me. Here is what I did:

1. while in safe boot I run OSX86Tools, clicked "Add EFI Strings", then "GFX Strings" tab and configured custom Custom GeForce with DVI/DVI.

2. added to Boot.plist

3. rebooted and got black screen in normal boot.

4. Booted with -x again, in OSX86Tools enabled Quartz GL, rebooted still black screen.

 

Then I connected VGA instead of HDMI and it booted fine... so it works over HDMI in safe boot and only over VGA in normal boot and in both cases without QE. OSX86Tools now give an error trying to enable/disable QE. Any idea how to

1. enable QE because without it, SL sucks - mouse start to lag when iTunes is running, etc.

2. make it boot normally without black screen over HDMI?

Hello, i' got 1 question - if I'll buy Nvidia 285 gtx, will it support official drivers and work on hackintosh?

 

Yep, ive got fully working through PCEFI 10.4+ Graphics enabler (10.5 is working better than 10.6 - PCEFI10.6 worked with some lags)

Also Natit_x64 works correctly, but shows the wrong info in System profiler. So, i recommend Graphics enabler.

 

I also tried to get my card worked with GFXstring but i couldnt succeeded - CI/QE, res change was working good but the card wasnt detected as an OpenCL device, it meaned that the card wasnt working properly.

 

p.s. My card is Inno3D GTX285 1024Mb (reference design)

Hi!

I just updated to 10.6.2 (had to remove sleepenabler), went smoothly and the hackintosh is booting.

However, after the grey apple logo screen, the UI is coming up but showing nothing than a blank screen

with mouse enabled. The system seems to be running in the background.

I used to have something similar with 10.6.0, but only in 1 of 5 reboots but with a blue (apple basic background)

screen.

Going in safe mode works okay, but after setting the res up to my TFT´s native resolution I get the BLUE screen again.

And, it might be important, I almost forgot to mention: I am using a GTS250 video card on analog output.

Install was rebel EFI installation but then switching to empire EFI after installer reboot, since I don´t buy psystar {censored}.

I think mainboard and CPU are less important..

I would appreciate any help by the community!
