quantum88 Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Hey Guys.....I'm fed up waiting on the macvidia release so I started looking at some ati cards. The one I have my eye on is a sapphire x1600 256mb agp card. I was wondering if anyone has tried or just knows how well this card would work for qe/ci. I'm currently running 10.4.3 and would like to upgrade to either 10.4.4 or 4.5 because I heard it's a little faster and more reliable.....and dvd playback works better. My specs are as follows: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (newcastle) Mobo: Chaintek nforce3 250 Mem: 1gb DDR400 GPU: Leadtek nvidia geforce 6800 128mb agp Sound: Intergrated AC97 audio Any thoughts? quantum88 Posted March 8, 2006 Author Share Posted March 8, 2006 Since nobody has posted yet I'm just gonna go ahead and correct myself: I'm looking at the x800gto now instead of the x1600 since the x1600 has a pitiful 128mbit memory bus.
