bwana_v
Hi all, I'm looking for an ALC 650 driver for Leopard. I'm installing it on a self assembled system built around a SuperMicro PDSG4 motherboard. It works rather good, but the embedded ALC 650 AC'97 audio chip is't detected. I have tried installing ALC 850 codec and AC97, but no luck. Does anybody know if there is a suitable driver? TIA

I'm using the exact same motherboard (Supermicro PDSG4), and I'm currently striving to get a sound out of my OSX86. I'm currently using 10.5.4. kokozedman
I got the Supermicro PDSGE's AC'97 working on my 10.5.4 and 10.5.6. It was actually just simple mistake that I did. I've used a wrong I just had to patch the AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext with my device's ID (which is 0x27de8086) and loaded the driver. Then I had sound working with all channels and microphones working . I have added it in the ICH6 Audio section in the Info.plist file. This should be the same thing for Supermicro PDSG4, but I'm not sure because I don't have the PDSG4.
