spiderman1369
Blu-Ray or standard DVD? If standard, use Mac The Ripper to put it on your hard drive, then use Handbrake to convert it to psp format. Both progs are free.
erbic
Or just rip it straight from the DVD to PSP-formatted vid with HandBrake. No need for MacTheRipper. And there's no way to "ruin" a DVD with a ripping program. All it's doing is reading data from the disc and then converting it to another format. strakerc
Considering this is a MAC forum...I would agree with the first couple of responses and say HandBrake is fast, easy, full of capabilities, and best of all, FREE! Just google it to find it, download and install. Pop the DVD in the drive, click the source button and sleect the DVD, then hit start. You'll have the DVD on your har drive. I don't know how to do the PSP thing...
Wayfarer247
Handbrake also works on Linux and Windows. It isn't just mac. And don't worry. Just like putting on more OS's can't screw up your computer (not really) ripping a DVD won't harm it. Unless your DVD player is a monster from hell. Then you need to watch out. Metrogirl
Heh, I thought this was going to be another of those spam posts where someone comes along with a "solution" involving a dubious package you need to buy... But it's not, so I'll weigh in with my 2c - the suggestions above are excellent, and I'd add DVDDecrypter (free, Google for it) to the list for Windows systems. One thing worth considering is whether Spiderman 3 has heavy-duty protection which may make it difficult for those programs to rip it. Periodically the studios screw with the DVD format particularly with new 'teen-popular' releases which they think are at risk from buddy-copying. I'm talking about 100+ VOBs, bogus title sets, table-of-contents showing 100GB on the disc, illegal pointers, dozens of bad sectors and other stuff which makes the computer barf. If you have this sort of garbage on the disc, you're going to find it hard to rip. If so, you may need to do a lot more work than you expect or maybe invest in one of the device-driver level packages which can fix this stuff. I'm pointing this out only because you might be tempted to blame a perfectly good ripping program for falling over when you actually have ARccOS, FluxDVD, Alpha-DVD and other weird stuff to fight. LonelyTV
VisualHub is your friend! Though it's not FREE it'll still do what you want with no hassle. Insert DVD tell it the format and let it go!
Daksfamus
best dvd ripper for all versoin of windows is DvDShrink. u can download from here. also is a free programCheers! not at all, the amount of resources it uses it outrageous the program i recommend is free for 30 days unless you'd like to make a keygen (thats what i did) you get the free trial, it's called dvdfab platinum. how fast it goes depends on your computers specs. my computer is 2gb ddr2 ram, 2.2ghz, intel c2d, it takes me about 30 minutes to rip the entire dvd to a zune format seeing as how i use a zune. i recommend you download the platinum, it has more options of what you want it to rip to, and if you pm me I will give you a serial code.
