maniac19
Kc Wayland, you have a realtek ACL880 codec => 0x10ec0880 and ICH6 Audio controller so stay with Azalia driver or try to replace 283904130 with 283904128 in AppleHDA info.plist. and add this <key>Intel ICH6 HDA</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.apple.driver.AppleHDAController</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>AppleHDAController</string> <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x26688086</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> </dict> to the info.plist of AppleHDAControler plugin I have Realtec ALC260 codec. I want to try AppleHDA.kext, but don't know how to find my codec id (the one like . Do you buy any chance know how to do it?

maniac19
search for ACL8 and AzaliaZ I finaly found it. I made modifications to Info.plist in AppleHda and AppleHDAController. But during load it writes that layout-id could not be found. Do you know what can be done to fix that. I already checked my config under Linux, but don't know what to do with that
maniac19
One more thought, can somebody with sigmatel codec and access to linux send me result of cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#$ command. where $ is an any number. In my case it is 0. I am trying to understand Info.plist structure. Thanks.

Blackice
well the DEV:7661 (where this thread started... a long time ago), is actually an AC97 card (STAC9225). So when I forced the AC97 driver, I was doing some good. I'm going to play around a bit and see if I can get it to work (I wonder, if I do the codec ID changing, and load the AC97 kext...) Blackice
hmm, well... I just installed JaS's 10.4.6, and now my card isn't even recognised as "Intel High Definition Audo". It's just not recognised at all :S AppleAC97Audio.kext also doesn't load (I can't even kextload it). So could anyone please attach a copy of the 10.4.3 AppleHDA.kext and AppleAC97Audio.kext? Or just any one that loads

benson304
I have been trying for a long time today to get the audio working on my motherboard. I have the Intel 945GNT, I already fixed the kext for the network adapter, so I'm set there, and I've tried to fix the one for my audio as well, and as of right now I think I messed it up, I get two errors upon boot saying that the files are not usable, and that I should contact the vendor. I am using 10.4.6 from JaS. If anyone could provide the kext files that I need to just put into the Extensions folder, and tell me what else to do otherwise, I'd strongly consider having your children. Isorion
Guess no one can figure this out except waiting for some new patch or something. You're telling me... I've searched the net long and hard, and I can't find a solution for this. Guess I'll either have to put up with a measily two channels of sound for now, or raise some money and buy a compatible sound card with full 5.1 (or, hell, higher) support... Confusedsoul
Ok, what do you still need to get this working. I have Sigmatel 9200, I am dual booting, and I used JaS's 10.4.6 guide. The audio is the ONLY thing not working (other than the dual core). I really want to get this figured out. I'm new to the Mac Linux world, but I'm willing to give it a really good shot!
