jasonsikes Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 I had that problem, too. After looking, though, I found that it was Parallels that was using the drive. Parallels may guess that, "Oh, since you are running Windows in here, and you just inserted a disc, you obviously was to use that disc in Windows." After I told Parallels to "Disconnect" the DVD drive everything was fine. I hope this helps. I couldn't figure out what was going on, osx wasn't registering a disk in the drive and drutils said: drutil status Vendor Product Rev OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5670S 2AHF Type: Media Is Busy Disk Utility said: This device is busy in the end it was vmware fusion.
