Okay, i downloaded a copy of Mac OS X Kalyway 10.5.2 and i used Alcohol 120 to burn it. I had and i still have installed Windows XP SP3 Pro. I installed a program called acronis OS selector to choose what to boot. Now .. I've got 3 discs (one IDE - 160, two SATA - one 160, second 500). I first tried installing Mac on a 160 gb IDE disc. I formatted it and created a new partition, then I installed Mac. It went OK, but when it rebooted, a silver screen with an apple showed up. It did not go past the screen. I also tried installing kalyway mac on a sata drive, didn't go past the screen either, neither did when i tried to format both discs' partitions with Mac utilities. I'm pissed off about this! I just cant get it to work!

First of all: you are not giving enough information here. The only thing you are saying is 'doest work'. Second, if you search the board you will find a lot of information already posted that could help you.

Dont complain that no one is trying to help you if you can bother to look at the information already posted. Dont download a lot of distros and try them all. It probably wont work.

Well, after this little token of forum etiquette:

try to see WHY the boot is not happening (try to boot in single user (-s at the darwin prompt)

Then boot with -x -v and look at if something is going wrong with your files). Post your computer specs so anyone can give you a more specific tip.

ok, so now i installed it again (5th time) and i tried typing -v and it didnt go past this screen.

when i dont boot with -v this screen appears:

slika0151.jpg

(as you can see it says MAC framework successfully initialized)

nothing else appears. i waited for about 20 minutes and nothing

i also tried typing -s, i get the exact same picture as when i type -v and when i type -x -v some text scrolls fast and then i get the screen like i did when i typed -v.

EDIT: OK, now im getting somewhere. If i boot with cpus=1 i get the screen like i dont type anything, except that now i get a working circle under the apple logo (i dont get the non-smoking sign without the cigarette). but it doesnt boot into the presentation or anything.
