Hi , i just wanted to say , well done for getting this far, it all seems so close now. i am not technical at all, but i found this site, where they talk about mach-o error etc. Maybe its a little tweaking - thats required for the files to be recognized and implemented.

http://0xfe.blogspot.com/2006/03/how-os-x-...plications.html

in that blog, the guy talks about mach -o files and how it works with in an executable. It seems one of the requirements is matching symbols, which the error above seems to stem from...last exile, eps...anyone...could this be where the problem lies.

maybe a shot in the dark...but hey...we are all frantic and frenzied...and effort is worth a try ....if it holds any merit that is.

thanks

I think i'm not the first one who ask this question, but I have the ATI 3400 Radeon graphic card and my hackbook doesn't reconize it !

does everyone find the right drivers ?

I try with the 3450's drivers, but it's doesn't reconize.

Moreover, who have drivers for the mic ? and bluetooth ?

In all case, thanks men for your work !

Found this ver 1.5.40 from SnowL:

http://www.live-share.com/files/365195/ati.zip.html

I tried but not working on ati mobility hd 3470, either.

Maybe some experts want to look into it.

Unfortunatly its unlikely anything driver-related designed for snow-leopard is going to work by sticking it in something for leopard - but this is awesome that there are some new files to play with - I'll download them and see what's what!

As we speak I'm trying stuff with the newer-ish build of leopard meant for the new laptops, so I'm seeing if I can get all of that to install without my computer having a {censored} fit also.  If nothing else it'll be an interesting couple days.  Monday is "supposedly" the estimated software-update release from apple themselves, so its possible we'll see graphic fixes in there - at least thats what the rumor-mill was saying a couple weeks ago.

UPDATE:

I tried the drivers, same results as all the other packages - which is good because it means the snow-leopard drivers are working at least as well as the non snow-leopard ones, but still an effed-up screen ;(

That is Snow-Leopard though, and most likely the new newest release - if you come accross a newer package let me know because, suprisingly it did load and it did do what all of the newer sets have been doing.  It's clear that they did add some of our cards to the kext files, but, it's not clear why.  Are they working on making them compatable?  Or is it just something they did while testing and has no real benefit?  Right now nobody knows, but its at least something to hope for.

Thank you very much for the new files Benjan!

I'm not sure if this is progress or not, but I want to show it:

I used the NVinstaller to install a bunch of drivers - on thier own they did nothing for me.

I then used the Natit I fixed the typo on to get my card reccognized.

Then I used this package with kext-helper to get my card reccognized.

I've managed to get to this point several times - but this is the very FIRST time that I've been able to follow up by opening OpenGL Extensions Viewer, and have it work.  Every single other time, its like it doesn't detect any OpenGL stuff whatsoever, so presumably, there is something in the NVinstaller that is allowing this, that nothing else I've tried has.  It even let me do the 3d stuff (though only at like 20 frames per second or something)

I'm stopping at this point for a little bit, in case someone has some information for me that might be able to get things working further - as I'm sure I'll just make matters worse from here.

And a screenshot:

Sample.png

*notice how all of them except the last one (3.0) are all 100% working. Is this where the problem lies? Is there a fix for this?*

Any Ideas where to go from here?

Thanks,

Fujilives

UPDATE

For those of you with 3450 that want to try this, it should get you at least as far as I got, do the above, and then before you restart, install the kext below with kext-helper!

i would like you to join the irc chat as soon as possible

I keep checking in, but have yet to catch you on irc, will check again probably tonight, and should be able to stay on the majority of the day at work tomorrow.

@sjoseph - yes, the constant is x2000 - What do you plan to do to fix this? Do you know how to work with this file?

hey man I understand a little more now I was curoius as I get a megalodon error and he go a x2000 error.... it makes since since that was his card but does that mean the error is the symbols between the 2 files are different and they should be the same or vice versa? since that is what our error is.

Hi, ridgeline

i've able to boot my iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 with my HD3450

in "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32"

but I haven't install anything... I just choose ATI HD Driver Base on the installation (Customize)

So... is yours also only can boot in 1024x768 mode after you try to instal package that Fujilivesl gave?

Thanks

Yes that is the default screen res until we get the card completely supported what is your max screen res. supposed to be i did not upgrade my lcd so mine is 1280x800 but if you opted for a nicer LCD you could modify the boot list to get a slightly higher res until the rest is fixed. Also go to system profiler and look at your graphics info does it recognize the card or does it just say ATi?

I'll meet up with lastexile to see what he has to say, but I just pulled another 3 am night - (I stopped using the files i linked to you guys several days ago, so I'm sorry if you have continued to use them - those files aren't working - they just ignore the important stuff and load up the natit information - which has been tricking us into believing it works.  tonight I hex-edited {censored} to get stuff going even, and it worked, but only ended up providing the same results.), and quite frankly I can't keep this up!  It's been an interesting run again, and who knows, maybe next update things will work - but unless lastexile comes up with something good, I'm giving up on this for now - I hate giving up on things, but honestly, theres nothing more I can do on my own anymore.

One interesting thing I will note - on several attempts I've got things to "work" and it showed a black/fragmented screen.  The computer did not freeze, if I moved my mouse to the upper right hand corner, and then drug it accross the top bar - I could see a change in the screen.  So the video was indeed working to some extent - because I was seeing what "should have been" the mouse.  So its definately a potential of functionality, like it worked and just needed to be fed the right frequency (like it was trying to spit 85hz out on a monitor that cant handle it or some {censored}) or something along those lines.

Fuji, man I feel your pain this audio thing is about to drive me nuts, but I just can not bring myself to quit not just yet. I took a break for the most part over the weekend and now I hope to make a break through. I think maybe if you and lastexile can get together then maybe there can be a solution. hopefully in the near future

On a side note though at least the 3650 mobility should be able to work as the desktop card was identified as a mobility card so soimething must just be mixed up.

I just want to touch base has there been any progress on the Mobility HD2400 Front??

I see that some People have gotten there Mobility HD2600's to work even if it was without QE/CI and 1024x768.

I have a Laptop with the Mobility Radeon HD2400 (DevID 94C9), and would like to be working under OSX again.

If it's not currently possible under Leopard due to this Driver issue, how about Tiger?

Or are there no "Drivers" for that as well???
