TONETIME
Hi everyone, i just tried the new kexts + new natit unfortunately it didn't work. i have dell studio with mobility HD 3650, all i get is ablue screen. Won't work in safe mode either. Could this be similar to the old intel integrated graphics problems, on older dells, the inspiron 6400 need a vga out mod to make it work, the paper clip thingy. any will will try and let you know. Thanks EPS and last exile for your dedication adn efforts. will post more info from the logs and stuff once i get the blue off. thanks
ridgeline
Just wanted to let everyone know I am on a Dell Studio with a 3450HD Mobility. Itried to install the new natit and atindrv and atirndrv kext and upon a reboot in verbose mode I noticed my card was picked up as a 3470 mobility and then it blinks the scren and freezes the system. this was done under Jas 10.5.4 should I update to 10.5.5 before applying the update I feel I am likely to get the same result but, wanted to check and I am unsure as to why it would show as a 3470 please if any one can help let me know Thanks, I will continue trying in the mean time

mitch_de
NOT WORKING with 3870x2 I hope someone fixes this I asked for help on IRC in #RadeonHD but no one replied... I get a black screen after it loads. Even safe mode doesn't work. Time to reinstall for the 4th time today... wish iDeneb had not listed the 3870x2 in the installer if it doesn't work =/ I am very sure that some 38XX cards do not work than others - maybe different ATOMBIOSes which need some diffenrent adress settings in natit and/or the framebuffer lamna/triakis. My MSI 3850 was also a nightmare to get it to work !!! The only way which worked is using gfxstring( build with EFISTUDIO), and use triakis insted lamna framebuffer (plugins in ATINDRV.kext). Lastest lastexile natit (whole 10.5.5 HD package) gives kernel panic (natit) or only blue screen (gfxstring). I think that those non working 38XX cards need an tool to read out the adressranges for an special natit or special framebuffer.

macman3D
Hi. Any luck with ATI Radeon HD 3450 Drivers for Mac OS X86 Leopard? I have one of these cards, and it works at a real crappy resolution (1024x768) and with no hardware accelleration, so I can't run apps I need like Aperture. I really need this driver and would be happy to test it for you or use an experimental version or whatever. I understand you're not getting payed, doing this voluntarily, etc, but I'd be immensely greatful if you could help me out here. Thanks in advance. jjduro
Hi Last Exile and everybody, I've got a Radeon X550 256MB 256-bit PCI-Express - Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x5b63, that used to work with Tiger (koverg patch + Calisto B8), but now is completely dead under Leopard. I've read the whole internet for a sollution, but with no luck. I know it is an old card, but, still, it used to work. Is there anything I can do about it? (Besides buying a new one. That is not an option.) Thanks! Ok. thanks. I'm going to downgrade to Tiger

TONETIME
Sorry for not reading all the pages. Does that mean there is no working solution for the Mobility 3650HD ? masterpiece I don't know, but i am not very confident about a solution anytime soon. The gurus- EPS , Last Exile and Netkas, have done wonderful job of bringing us as much support from what they have to work with, but at the end of the day, they need some crucial information/resource to build on, and it seems like apple just haven't done so for some cards etc. From what i have read, its the frame Buffer that is the issue with mobility HD 3650, Hoping that netkas finding doesn't apply to the Hd mobility 3650 (m86/RV635)read below. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=944272 Hopefully they won't give up the effort. lets keep the thread alive, and if we can all make some contribution to compensate for their time, im sure they enjoy what they do, nevertheless, gratitude comes in many forms. all the best... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=944272
