FadeFX
ok, installed driver and after reboot nothing worked anymore, had on the first display a black screen with strange artefacts and on the second screen a black screen with colored stripes... is it possible that this happend because i installed the older drivers first? i did now a clean install again with 1024x768 only but at least it clones the 2 screens. dual monitor is not possible. mr_Harry_plotter_hk
Dear LastExile; Thanks for your advise. I've re-install the Ideneb 10.5.4 uisng no Video Kext in the DVD and boot with -x option. System started up in safe-mode. Then I installed the HD 2600XT PCIe Kert using Pacifist. Everything works as dream. YOU ARE MY HERO. sch8mid
XBENCH Values , also the Quartz+OpenGL are very CPU / L2 Cache dependend! And it doenst matter at which ersolution you run XBENCH (that the bad thing for OpenGL benches), because XBENCH always uses a way to small window for 2D/3D benches. You can compare those only if you have near same CPU. With same GPU, for example ATI 3850 you can get complete different values running one 3850 with INtel E2160 and the other with Intel Quad CPU! mitch is right on this and it depends even on the Intel Quad CPU type and even on the stepping ! look @ this : He got : 7306 with a Quad Q 6600 CPU @ 3,62 GHz (he will get about 7900 with 64 bit ) here: 7520 with a Quad Q 9550 CPU @ 3,00 Ghz http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/80086 OC a Q 9550 to the same clock as above and you will see 9000 scores in geekbench best m
mattlqx
I had no love with the 'new' modified Eps 3650 installer. Kept getting black and white checkerboard screen. Used the 'old' 3650 installer and it works with full res and QE + acceleration. I'm using JaS 10.5.4 + 10.5.5 update. The HD3650 driver that came on it had full res but QE was unsupported and screen savers in System Prefs would crash as soon as you clicked on one. Attack Monkey
I also have an Asus EAH3650 512mb Silentmagic on Leo4Allv3. I tried the "new" (Oct 18th) pkg installer and installed without problem, I restarted and it recognizes my monitor (Acer Flat Panel) and it recognizes the "Panasonic_TV" (each plugged into one of the DVI outputs with Acer connected by DVI to VGA and Panasonic by DVI to HDMI) but won't put anything up on the panasonic tv no matter what I try (Mirror, non-mirror, change resolutions, etc. The Acer seems to work fine... Thoughts?
