erm , first how is your lcd max resolution..

there is a limit ,

if possible , you can use x86 tools to edit easily...

no need to edit the .boot file to take risk ~

 

Maybe we (ATI Mobility 34XX) users can flash ROM of the card to some 2600XT or something.

 

 

any tools to use to flash the rom ?

may i know which grapphic card is compatible ?

This is a good idea if you want to f**k your laptop ;)

 

The problem with HD mobility is not the ROM, the problem is the framebuffer and the LVDS connection...

Boomberg, how is the framebuffer looking? I remeber you wrote there is promising 10.5.7 update did someone had any progress?

I read somewhere about apple hireing an AMD graphics expert for theyr 10.6 Snow leopard.

Maybe there will be something in there even though 10.6 is 64bit right?

 

We can try to polemize and maybe we´ll get somewhere.

hi boombeng does that means there is a possibility for the desktop version to work on leo?

have you guys made any progress on the desktop version? any new stuff to test?

I don't think 10.5.7 will help HD mobility and HD3450 to work on OSX86 ;)

People with this cards or laptops should seriously believe to change it for an OSX86 supported one if they want QE/CI and Res change to work

Download AMD < ----- I USED THIS ONE

 

I used the AMD driver. I am thinking maybe it is not an installer fault, but iPC's.

I tried both Efi V9 and Efi v8 (Chameleon 1.12 - 1.11) and had exactly the same problem

The patches I used are:

Voodoo Kernel 9.5.0

Smbios 667

ADI 1988B

PCGenRealtek 8139

NforceLan

Realtek 8187

Seatbelt Fix

Finder 10.5.5

DeepSleep

No Video Drivers. -- I also erased all the Natit, Ati, Geforce an NV kexts before running the Installer.

 

Everything Works EXCEPT -- ATI HD 3650 256-MB (dev id: 9598) -- on AMD CPU

Please HELP ME I dont know what else to do. I am trying 3 full days now.

I bought this card for nothing?

I am disappointed because this installer has exactly what i need: same device id and for AMD, so it can't just not work.

Sorry for my English, and thank you for the hard work you are doing for us.

Hope someone helps me. I REALLY NEED IT FOR PHOTOSHOP

 

 

Did you tried this distro "XxX_x86_10.5.6_Install_Disc_Universal_Final" or this "XxX_10.5.6_Leo_Install_Disc_Rev1_-_Hackintosh_OS_X_Leopard" (same thing), driver, provided there for this card with this id... if not try and then tell... what happened...(i have asus hd 3650 512 mb, vanilla kernel... works... !... this driver here don't... tried... ).

 

Use this HD3650 fixed (PCIe - not mobility)

 

Step 1: Safe Mode login (-x)

Clear all driver from

System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntel*

System/Library/Extensions/ATI*

System/Library/Extensions/NVD*

 

and

 

Delete file: System/Libraty/Extensions.mkext

When you delete all file in step 1, you can't login normal.

 

Step 2: Install driver HD3650 fix with Safe Mode. Restart. Hope work full. :P

 

If can't login in normal mode. Please install driver mobo again. :D

 

Ex: My HD3650 (sapphire) work now! DVI output with Dell 2407wfp 1920x1200p good.

 

 

Try this as well...!!!... and then tell...

trying to get the drivers to setup an Lenovo w500. But cant reach them at the moment.

Page not found after a while. More people has this issue, or is my internet connection f...ed up ?

i want install natit with megalodon framebuffer support but it still no work. I need video out to connect my TV-Set.

I have try to change info.plist from natit Lamna to Megadolon but the same, no changes. With kexstat I grep ATY i see Lamna is loaded again.

 

Can you maybe built an installer with megalodon framebuffer ? or a howto how i must change it?

why there are com.apple.ATIRadeonX2000 loaded ? should there not be ati_driver loaded?

 

EDIT: I have seen that in ATI-drv Megalodon framebuffer not included, can i copy it in from other package ?

im just reading this thread and my questions are:

why all these ati mobilities HD 2400...4000 have an 9xxx id and use atiradeonx2000.kext

i have an mobility HD 2300 with ID 7210 (gpu M71M) and with atiradeonx1000.kext i have QE/CI but only 1024 resolution

any hope in 10.5.6 update?

i have the same question . is there the way to change resolution to 1440x940x32.

@kiepas : how can you enable Quartz Extreme? my HD 2300 is not supported can you show me the way, please.

You should have ATNDRV and ATIRNDRV in S/L/E

Megalodon is in ATIRNDRV

 

ATIX2000 is normal in Kextstat

SO VGA and VIDEO OUT WORKS NOW, THANKS a lot! I used NATIT you have postet before.

THE PROBLEM was that i must use the other dvi/vga output!!!

It does not exist. It is not possible at the moment to get it working it seems. Maybe 10.5.7 will bring some hope, or Snow Leopard, but right now it seems as though LastExile and other members have given up. Just seems hopeless, don't know why exactly it's so difficult to get it to work, it just refuses to.
