So do you think I had to remove Azalia dirvers ?

 

Now I've enabled the onboard sound with Azalia.... I'll test again the Audigy...

God, If this driver gets to work I definitely migrate to Mac.... but definitely.

I´m having all the problems already posted here ... distortion after x mins and random kernel panics...

Still, keep up the great work!!!

haha would love to donate. things are made difficult when you take into account I'm 16 years old and in full time education, currently jobless complements of the credit crunch ;)

 

anyway, for those wanting basic mic support, suggest you get on eBay, you can get a cheap thing for £2.08 from Hong Kong that may do the trick. you can spend £6 and get it from the UK within a few weeks, but that would be my lunch money wasted :D

Today I've got install SB Live! Tried 1.0b3, 1.1b0, 1.2b0

NO SOUND AT ALL.

5. Any other drivers conflicting? OnBoard Audio disabled in BIOS? (Onboard drivers for Azalia / AppleHDA known to conflict)

 

Onboard audio disabled. I tried to install taruga drivers for my STAC9271. How to disable Azalia/AppleHDA kext in my system?

I can't even see SB Live in system profile?

 

6. Is Device's name mentioned properly in Audio Midi setup? eg. "kX 0350 etc" (Application \ Utilities)

 

Nothing there.

In System Profile under Built-in Audio appears

 

Intel High Definition Audio:

Device ID: 0x1545AA08

Audio ID: 4

Available Devices:

 

I believe it's from ATI HD 2600. Don't have any ideas how to disable it.

 

7. "Intel ICH and PIIX Controller" was enabled in your iDeneb setup? unchecked Azalia, AppleHDA in setup?

Do I need to reinstall system again? Do you know the way how to check it or change it without reinstalling the system?

 

I tried USB MBOX Digidesign with core driver and mbox works perfect.

How to get work SB Live!?

I found that my card was SB0200 model. This one is not supported. Hmm.

I've just found another one CT4780. Works but sound is distorted :) Will try to find solution.

Thanks for the news themax (and whoever that edited my sub title text :(). As usual first post updated, Signature updated with direct download link (only logged in users can see it)

 

Additional E info in release notes:

 

Changes:

* Fixed issues with 10k1-based cards [noise after some minutes]

* Fixed some of Kernel Panics

 

If you get Kernel Panics or system locks up, do the following:

* Reboot OS X

* At darwin boot prompt [before the 'gray apple' logo] add the following commands:

-v -debug=0x144

* This will enable verbose start-up and will display more information during kernel panic

 

After you get a new kernel panic [make sure to start your OS X with the options mentioned above], write down the following information:

* EIP address of the error (EIP: 0xXXXXXXXX)

* Address of the kX driver: "com.kXProject.driver.kXAudioDriver(1.2b1)@0xAAAAA AAA->0xBBBBBBBB"

* Backtrace (CPU 0) Frame. This is show in the following way:

0xCCCCCCC : 0xDDDDDDDD (0xEEEEE 0xFFFF ....)

...

until "Backtrace terminated"

and "BSD process name corresponding to current thread"

 

Don't send me any screenshots of your display, unless your image is perfectly readable!

Report for 1.21b1 on SB Live CT4760 (10k1)

 

As run for 1 hour, work great! No kernel Panic, No distortion.

 

Edit Now 3 hours pass with distortion come ...

I read Hagar's post saying distortion remains (after 90 min) anyone with Live!+Audg to confirm this, head towards Bug Report page...

note that that was on tiger, so a: I didn't expect it to work at all, and b: it's not going to be a priority to fix.

Is there any chance that recording will eventually be implimented? I love to drivers so far, this new beta is flawless for my comp, but I record audio and have to switch to

my XP install to do so. I will so give you a large donation if you can get that working lol. Just let me know if it's even possible

I have E-MU 0404 Audio System.Can I use the latest drivers 1.02/1 with Leopard 10.5.5?

There is only one way to find out, try it :unsure: Don't forget to see Release notes, it surely tells something extra for EMU series...

That extension looks doubtful :P
