ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v/4650(1002_9480) OS X 10.9 (13A603) Mavericks

hey hows it going,

 

was wondering if your fix would apply to my problem as well; I ask because the .kext you said to delete is the same .kext I already deleted to somewhat fix the problem (iMac 10,1 27" with ATI Radeon 4670/Yosemite, system boots fine but then the screen would freeze with just the mouse cursor moving around).

and after doing his fixes(cause he lists two) - my inquisitive nature wants to know - do I really need to run the fan software tool?)
