Hi,

I installed the Gigabyte ATI HD 4670 with 1 GB of RAM.

GraphicsEnabler

Yes

- PC EFI 10.5 work VGA and DVI2VGA,

- PC EFI 10.6 Black monitor,

- Chameleon 2.0-RC4 Kernel panic in ATI 2000,

I'm trying to get the EFI String with gfxutil and the rest of the tools.

Update - EVOEnabler work in 10.6 - QE/CL:

- Download EVOEnabler (inside ATI Radeon HD 4890 data and BIOS),

- With PCEFI 10.5 and "GraphicsEnabler Yes" extract the device-properties with

"ioreg -lw0 -n display@0 -p IODeviceTree | grep device-properties > HD4670.hex"

- Copy only the hex (delete extra text),

- Extract the plist from the hex "./gfxutil -i hex -o xml HD4670.hex HD4670.plist",

- Insert in "EVOenabler.kext/Contents/Info.plist" from "<key>entriesToAdd</key>" to the end,

Display sleep: VGA -> Yes

DVI2VGA -> No

Grab the attach file and report if work!!!!!!!!!!!

PCEFI 10.6 solved:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=203990

- Download Chameleon-2.0-RC3-r658-src_PCEFIV10.6-src,

- cd Chameleon-2.0-RC3-r658-src_PCEFIV10.6-src/i386/libsaio

- nano ati.c

- ctrl w -> "10029490" (find the string) line 239

- change "Peregrine" to "Motmot"

- cd Chameleon-2.0-RC3-r658-src_PCEFIV10.6-src

- make

- cp sym/i386/boot to your Chameleon root partition

E Voila - workkkkkkkk with PCRFI 10.6

Ruy did you ever have success with your efistring????????

I too am trying to dump ioreg hex from a hackintosh using graphics enabler, in order to get a working efistring that i can put in com.apple.boot.plist

im trying to get the efistring for my ati 4350....

it works using Graphicsenabler=yes in PC_EFI 10.6,

but id rather have the efistring, so i can tweak it to get dual monitors and use other bootloaders

i made a post, documenting some of my efforts:

Ati 4350 efistring attempts

i linked to quite a few different things relevant to ATI 10.6 efistrings
